Questions About Giving to TAFYS
Is my donation to TAFYS tax-deductible?
Yes. Texas Alliance for Youth Success (TAFYS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You’ll receive a receipt for your gift.
What does my donation support?
Your gift helps TAFYS build connection, opportunities, resources, and community for young people with foster care experience. This can include workshops, gatherings, books and activities, participation support, and the day-to-day work needed to keep TAFYS growing and showing up.
Can I make a monthly gift?
Yes. Monthly giving is one of the best ways to help TAFYS plan ahead and build more consistent opportunities for young people. You can choose an amount that works for you and change or cancel your recurring gift as needed.
Do donations to TAFYS pay for WishSpark wishes?
No. TAFYS is a community partner of One Simple Wish. We help young people connected with TAFYS submit wishes, but individual wishes are fulfilled directly through One Simple Wish by wish granters from across the country. General donations to TAFYS support TAFYS and our work.
Can I give by check, Venmo, or PayPal?
Yes. Checks can be made payable to Texas Alliance for Youth Success and mailed to PO Box 884, Edinburg, TX 78540. TAFYS is also on Venmo and PayPal. However, to make most of your donation, we recommend Zelle. You can find us using @TAFYSorg or [email protected].
Can I donate stock or give through a donor-advised fund (DAF)?
Yes. TAFYS offers options to donate stock and to recommend grants from donor-advised funds through DonateStock. Use the Stock or DAF options above to get started.
Can my business or employer support TAFYS?
Absolutely. Businesses can support TAFYS through sponsorships, matching gifts, in-kind contributions, employee giving, and other partnerships. Contact us and we can talk about what makes sense for your organization.
