About Pa’lante Closet
Pa’lante Closet is a youth-centered resource program that provides clothing, shoes, personal care items, and other essential goods to young people impacted by foster care. Through a choice-based approach, youth are empowered to select items that reflect their individual needs, preferences, and personal style.
More than meeting basic needs, Pa’lante Closet helps foster confidence, self-expression, and a sense of belonging. By giving young people the opportunity to make choices for themselves, the program supports healthy identity development, self-esteem, and readiness for school, employment, and other life opportunities.
Grounded in Positive Youth Development principles, Pa’lante Closet recognizes that access to essentials, combined with choice and autonomy, can help young people build confidence and move forward toward their goals.
